If he had just gotten a survey…

How many times have you heard this before?   How many times have we seen a fence, a shed, or even worse, a home crossing a property line?  Buying a home or property is a major event for the majority of us.  Doing so without a survey is similar to buying a car without knowing everything that is included.  “Oh, you wanted wheels and tires with that $60,000 car?”

The amount of money generally associated with a boundary survey is pennies on the dollar of the closing costs.   Surveyors are not in the sales business.  They only want to provide an accurate survey for a reasonable fee.  Typically they are more concerned with the accuracy of the information than any one else in the closing process.

On the next property purchase, ensure that you are getting everything you expect by getting a survey.
